Abresist Kalenborn, has completed a new $250,000 addition to its plant in Urbana, IN. The 2,240 square foot addition, complete with 15-ton crane, will be used to facilitate manufacture of large items lined with Abresist’s various wear resistant materials. The addition also will house manufacturing equipment for the new KALCRET® line of aggregate based wear compound. The specially designed combination crane bay and installation pit will allow more efficient installations of larger pieces, while new equipment will be dedicated to manufacturing prefabricated components from KALCRET®.

Recently introduced to the North American market, KALCRET® wear-resistant linings handle a broad range of abrasive products, including coal, cement, ore, sand and harsh, granular chemicals and others. The abrasive resistant linings eliminate the need for repairs and reduce maintenance and downtime, resulting in longer service life. They are ideal for use in a variety of industries and in high temperature applications to 1550°F.
