KALMETALL®-TC (tungsten carbide) from Abresist Kalenborn withstands the severe impact and abrasion that prematurely wears out other products, and has outlasted alumina ceramic as much as 5 times in actual practice. This tough abrasion resistant lining works extremely well in processing machinery components and in pipes and elbows for pneumatic and gravity piping systems. KALMETALL®-TC is also an exceptional wear resistant lining for use in mixing equipment as well as fan blades handling coal, ore and other abrasive granular products such as sand, coke and ferro-silica.

Wear and impact resistant lining KALMETALL®-TC is a tungsten carbide alloy utilizing the chemically bonded elements of tungsten (W) and carbon (C). The hard grains of tungsten carbide are combined through a sintering process into tiles and shapes. KALMETALL®-TC is available in thin small tiles as well as larger thick pieces for piping liners. The thin tiles are typically silver-brazed onto the surface to be protected or can be installed using the KALBOND adhesive process. The larger, thicker pieces are installed as tiles or pipe lining segments with epoxy.
